LESTER, Alma Pearl 97, of St. Petersburg, formerly of Tampa and Brooksville, passed away peacefully on Dec. 29, 2012. Alma was a member of TOPS, and worked for the Social Security Administration in St Petersburg, as well as AARP. Alma had a pleasant personality, making lots of friends of all ages during her 97 years. She cherished all of her pets, most recently her beloved dog Toby. Alma was predeceased by 2 brothers, Julius and Earl; and 3 sisters, Annie, Phyllis and Alice. She is survived by 3 daughters, Geraldine (Emory) Day, Linda (Lester) Payne (1943-2017), and Joan (Craig) Tippey; sister, Norma Plescia; her 9 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
