Ernest Lee Hardy, Jr., 72, of Clute, TX went to be with our Lord on April 26, 2019, after a long battle with cancer. Lee was born to Ernest and Margaret Hardy on November 28, 1946 in Rockport, Indiana.

He was a man of great character, strength, kindness, and wisdom. Lee, a Vietnam Veteran, displayed great strength in his two year battle with cancer. He loved camping with his family, tending to his beautiful garden, and spending quality time with his loving wife of 43 years, Helen. Over the years, he has enjoyed service in the Brazoria County Calvary and the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife Helen Hardy, Son Ernest Hardy III, daughters Ann Sammons (Bill Sammons), Melissa Norsworthy (Mark Weber), and Brandy Roberts (Mark Roberts), and grandchildren Jacob Norsworthy (Autumn Norsworthy), Rachael Barina (Dusty Foster), Katlyn Norsworthy, and Maddie Weber.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Margaret Hardy, sisters Martha Jean Scott and Ester Bastien, son-in-law John Norsworthy, and grandson Adam Barina. Lee’s kind spirit and words of wisdom will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton. Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Palms Funeral Home.
