David was employed with the State of Illinois for 20 years. In his younger years, he would race outlaws and won several trophies. David enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, cooking, and camping. He also enjoyed relaxing in his La-Z-Boy watching baseball, football, and NASCAR.
David was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard E. Archer.
He is survived by his nephews, Jeremy (wife, Anna) Archer of Spring Grove, IL and Maj. William (wife, Sarah) Archer of Fort Wainwright, AK; great-nephews, Cody and Jace; and great-niece, Elizabeth.
Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 9:30 - 10:15 a.m. on Friday, May 24, 2019, at Butler Funeral Home—Chatham, 8855 State Rt. 4, Chatham. A funeral ceremony will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
