Eugene S. Bodine
Services were to be held today for Eugene Spencer Bodine, retired oil company executive and former Bay Area Pollution Control District board member.
Mr. Bodine died Saturday in Kentfield at 82.
He was manager of the Shell Chemical Company and was noted for his work in controlling noxious fumes arising from petroleum manufacturing. He served on the BAAPCD board from 1957 to 1970.
He was a member of Islam Temple, California Bodies A.&S.R.; Fairfax Lodge No. 556, F&AM; S.I.R.S; E. Clampus Vitas, Yerba Buena Chapter B; San Rafael Rifle Club, Bay Area Council.
A widower, Bodine is survived by a daughter, Jane Scockly, of Torrance, Calif. and two nephews,
Jack and Robert Bodine of St. Louis.
Services were to be held at the Chapel of Hills in San Anselmo.
