Thomas Franklin Nail, 92 of Batesville passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019.
He was born on August 6, 1926 in Lafferty, Arkansas to Richard Pinkney Nail and Elsie (Barnes) Nail.
He enjoyed history, gardening and loved to travel. He was a member of the Civil War Round Table, V.F.W. and American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Shelby Pauline (Turney) Nail; one daughter, Donna Sue Nail Hackett of Port Orange, Florida; four grandchildren, Terry Law Jr., Mitch Law, Donald Straughan, and Matthew Glicco; three great-grandchildren, Trevor Law, Trenton LeVille, and Thea Fay Glicco; one brother, Richard Nail of North Carolina; two sisters, Barbara Nail Ring of Missouri and Mary Nail Arenson of Texas; and one niece, Julia Nail.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ricky Nail; daughter, Rita Fay Nail Glicco; brothers, Raymond Nail, Jimmie Nail, and Reed Nail; and sister, Eupal Nail.
Pallbearers are Terry Law, Mitchell Law, Donald Straughan, Matthew Glicco, Tim Brown, and Roger Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Jones, Tracey Ring, Victor Nail, and Jim Leonard.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2019 in the Roller-Crouch Chapel with Eddie Cox and Stacey Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Nail Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at the funeral home.
