BALLANTYNE, Mrs. Russell - At the Riverside Nursing Home, Mitchell, Ontario, of Wednesday, June 8, 1977, Mabel Erb, formerly of Downie Township, in her 88th year; wife of the late Russell Ballantyne, dear mother of Robert W., 390 Devon St., Dr. Edwin E. Ballantyne, Edmonton, Alberta, Mrs. Douglas (Margaret) Henderson, Kitchener and Mrs. Alden (Mary) Strathdee, R.R. 2, St. Pauls. Sister of Edwin Erb, RR 3, Stratford, and Mrs. W. B. (Ruth) Hotson, Avonbank; also survived by 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Predeceased by two sons, Donald R., and Dr. John H. Ballantyne, both in 1974. Resting at the Heinbuck Funeral home, 156 Albert St., Stratford, wh[e]re the family will receive friends on Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 11, at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be in Avondale Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to he charity of one's choice.
