Jillian M. Young, 27, of Greendale Township, Midland County, died unexpectedly, Wednesday afternoon, May 15, 2019. She was born August 20, 1991 in Midland, daughter of Brenda (Schaar) Croope-Spitnale of Midland and the late Robert Croope. Jillian was a 2009 graduate of Breckenridge High School and attended Mid-Michigan Community College for a year and a half. On August 23, 2014 she was married to Nicholas Young in Coleman. He survives her. Jillian was employed as an educator in Child Care Development at the West Midland Family Center . She had a infectious personality, always bubbly and always smiling. She enjoyed many things including, spending quality time with her family and friends, camping, bonfires, good music, hunting and fishing. She was an accomplished artist and has many of her drawings displayed at her home.

Surviving besides her husband, Nick and her mother Brenda, are her two children, Christian and Emmett Young, her sister; Jessica (Todd) LaBonville of Shepherd; Step-father, Chris Spitnale, grandparents; Ronald and Wilma Spitnale of Midland and Curly Young of Midland; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Tondee and Dale Young of Breckenridge; sister-in-law; Taylor Young of Bay City; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to her father Robert Croope, Jillian was predeceased by her grandparents; Barb and Chester Schaar and Donald and Vivian Croope, Beverly Young. and two nephews, Conner and Owinn LaBonville.

Funeral Services for Jillian will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2019 from the Homer United Methodist Church. Mr. Mark Camilleri will officiate with cremation to follow. Jillian’s family will receive friends at the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 West Wheeler Street in Midland on Sunday from 3-7 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider her children, Christian and Emmett in care of her husband Nicholas.
