Memorial services were held Thursday, October 31, 1996 at 11:00 AM at the Free Will Baptist Church, Drumright. Geraldine V. Dockery was born the daughter of Curtis and Hattie Valentine, August 6, 1918 near Waco, TX. On August 25, 1934, Geraldine and Lee C. Dockery were united in marriage at Athens, TX. Geraldine and Lee moved to Drumright, from Lamont, Wyoming in 1951. Geraldine worked for several years for Burney Brasel at the Marquette Pharmacy in Drumright, OK. After retirement, Geraldine was active in the VFW Auxillary and a charter member of the Drumright Historical Society. Geraldine V. Dockery died October 20, 1996 at the age of 78 years. Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Jerry L. Bruce of Drumright, OK, and her son Gary L. Dockery of Seattle, WA, four grandchildren: Robin Stinchcomb, Oklahoma City, OK, Amy Andersen, New Glarus, WI, Tina Colvin, WA, and Eric Dockery of Seattle, WA. and six great grandchildren. The family requested that memorials be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation of Oklahoma City, Judith Karman Hospice of Stillwater, OK or the Drumright Library.
