Norma Jean Harrison passed away May 15, 2019 at her home in Martins Mill. She was born January 26, 1932 in Smyrna, TX to Herman Cecil and Lillie Mae Sandlin Melton.

Norma was a member of the First Assembly of God in Canton. She lived most of her life in the Northeast Texas area. Norma loved gardening, sewing and cooking. She really enjoyed spending time with her family.

Mrs. Harrison is preceded in death by her parents: Herman Cecil Melton, Lillie Mae and Marvin Owens; two husbands: Jack O'Neil Harrison and Billy Courtney; daughter, Brenda Gayle Peterman; sisters, Eva Jane Harrell and Juanita Melton Griffith; and brother, Cecil Wayne Melton.

Norma Jean is survived by her son, Robert Harrison of Martins Mill; daughter, Donna Kitchens of Martins Mill; daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Paul Dale of Martins Mill; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; brother, Jerb Melton of Tyler; and sister, Peggy Henry of Lindale.

Pallbearers will be Leslie Melton, Bradley Melton, Oscar Franco, Ted Cox, Cody Vaughn, Tim Davis and Brooks Melton.

Services for Norma were scheduled for Sunday, May 19, 2019, at Eubank Funeral Chapel in Canton with Bro. Jimmy Allen officiating.
