Jimmie Edward Hicks, of Hughesville, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, May 14, 2019. He was a son of the late William Albert and Mamie Elizabeth (Turman) Hicks. He and his wife, the former Lois A. Teufel, would have celebrated 12 years of marriage on Sept. 1, 2019.

Jimmie served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was employed with the Ohio Department of Transportation and retired in 1998 after 32 years of service. Jimmie attended Moreland Community Church and served as chaplain for the Lycoming County Gideon Camp.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Lois Teufel-Hicks, are four daughters, Jane Elizabeth Sandler, Donna Jean (Michael) Miller, and Deborah Lynn Hicks, all of Ohio, and Claudia (Charles) Holt, of Lancaster; a son, Wayne E. Hicks, of Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Jimmie was preceded in death by seven brothers, two sisters, and wives, Linda Ethelene Emmert and Laura Alta Wyman.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at Moreland Community Church, 1300 Church Dr., Muncy, with Pastor Charles W. Holt officiating. Burial with full military honors will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, at Saybrook Township Cemetery, Ashtabula, Ohio.
