Donald G. Holmes, age 88 of Howell, passed away peacefully at his home, early Monday evening, March 11, 2019 while surrounded by his loving family. Born in Detroit on May 16, 1930, he was the son of the late Matthew G. and the late Hazel J. (Roberts) Holmes. A Howell area resident for the past 22 years, Don was a proud U. S. Air Force veteran and retired engineering technician for Ford Motor Company. He could fix anything and loved designing and creating. Beloved husband of nearly 68 years, loving father of 7 children, grandfather of 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and a Brother. Preceded in death by sister the late Shirley and brother the late Ed.
