He was born on August 14, 1936 in Hazelhurst, Mississippi. Carl was the son of Will Lee and Lillie (Smith) Lee. He attended Hazelhurst public schools and enlisted in the US Navy.
He was preceded in death by his beloved Eunice M (Carpenter) Lee (1996) and his 1st wife, Minnie Lee.
Carl retired from the US Navy after 10 years and then joined the US Army Reserves as recruiter and retired in good standing after 20 more years. He then continued to work as a special police force guard and a driver in various car auctions in the state.
Besides his brothers Charlie Lee (New Orleans,LA) Herman Lee (deceased), Robert Lee (New Orleans,LA) Melvin Lee (New Orleans,LA) and his beloved sisters, Mildred Mullen (Brooklyn,NY) Drewsey Dean (PA) Willie Bell Mckinney (Jackson,MS) Ruby Lee (NY) and Mable Coney (Cambridge,MA) and a host of beloved nieces and nephews, he also leaves behind a beloved step daughter, Stephanie Taylor, 3 grandchildren; Stephan, Adriana and Aj and 1 great grandson, Stephan II. He will be greatly missed and forever cherished.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 11, at 1:00PM in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St.,(Rt.123) Brockton. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:00PM. Interment will be on Monday, May 13th at 1:30PM in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
