Herman Raphael Ellis Sr., 93, of Waianae, a retired mason, died at home. He was born in Honolulu.
He is survived by wife Helen; sons Michael Alapa‘i, and Herman Jr., Gary, Steven, Gordon, Dana, Timothy and Herman K. Ellis; daughters Donna Przygoda and Sharon Ellis; brothers Douglas, Gaylord and Michael; 34 grandchildren; and 56 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 5 p.m. Tuesday at Borthwick Mortuary. Services: 6:30 p.m. Cremation to follow. Aloha attire. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to charity.
