ALBANY--Max L. Ray, 59, 204 Gillcrest, died Thursday at his home after a long illness.
Mr. Ray was born in Portland, and had lived in the Albany-Redkey area most of his life. He was a designer for Wearly Monuments, Muncie, for 30 years.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Ray; three daughters, Pam Hesher and Debbie Powers, both of Albany, and Dee Ray, Muncie; three sons, Tim Ray, Albany, Jeff Ray, Dunkirk, and Todd Ray, Portland, and 14 grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Parson-Rust Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Redkey. Calling will be 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
