Louis Vernon Anderson age 80 passed away Tuesday May 14, 2019 at the TN State Veterans Home at Humboldt.

He was born August 2, 1938 in Cuba, Missouri, the son of the late Louis Drayton and Marvel Ardice Gilchist Anderson.

He attended school in Cuba, MO and entered the U.S. Air Force. After his Air Force service he later entered the U.S. Navy serving abroad the USS Nimitz the Navy’s oldest and finest air craft carrier, serving as a radar technician.

He married Belinda Lee Polk in 2000 and they made their home in Henderson.
He is survived by his wife Belinda Louise Lee Polk Anderson of Henderson; two sons, Robert ‘Bobo’ Anderson and Randy Davis of Savannah and a daughter, Crystal Anderson of Jackson; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and two sisters, Ethel Modlin and Jo Dykes.

He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Anderson; a daughter, Andrea Anderson and a sister, Anna Lee Anderson.

Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Roy Sharp and Doug Burleson officiating. Burial will follow later in Huntsville.
