Frances L. Moon, age 86, passed away peacefully May 1, 2019 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
She was born April 18, 1933 in Carson, Iowa to Marvin and Muriel Hooker.

She married Ralph D. Moon April 14, 1961 in Council Bluffs, Iowa who preceded her in death December 30, 2000.

Frances worked as a beautician after high school and later worked for the Council Bluffs School District many years as secretary at various schools. In her retirement years, she worked as a People Greeter at the first Walmart store in Rogers, Arkansas. This was a job she loved. She enjoyed meeting and talking to people. At Walmart, she had an Eagle Eye and excelled at helping out loss prevention and was rewarded with stock for all the shoplifters she caught.

Frances is survived by her brother Marvin Hooker, Jr. (Donna), Cedar Rapids, IA; sister Florence Atchley, Council Bluffs, IA; sons Scott Moon (Debbie), Council Bluffs, IA; Tim Moon, Omaha, NE; Clistus Moon, Junction City, KS; daughter Susie (Ray) Davis, Fayetteville, AR; grandsons Cooper Moon, Austin, TX; Hunter Moon, Junction City, KS; granddaughters Willa Moon, Omaha, NE; Zoe Davis, Fayetteville, AR; great grandson Clinton (Bubba) McDowell III, Omaha, NE; and also many nephews and nieces.

Graveside services will be May 30, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
