Roger Lee Ellison, 66, of Kegley, died early Friday morning, October 9, 2015, at Princeton Community Hospital. Roger was a former coal miner having worked Consol Coal Company at Turkey Gap and was a member of the UMWA. He was currently employed by Bland Street Auto in Bluefield as a muffler installer. Roger was a member of the Omelet Shop gang on the Oakvale Road in Princeton for more than 20 years. In his spare time, Roger enjoyed going to Antique Car Shows.

Born, December 28, 1948, at Mt. Hope, he was the son of Lee Roy Ellison (1929-2019) of Princeton and the late Della Mae Williams-Ellison-Gross (1928-2002).

Survivors include his father & step-mother who helped to raise him, Lee Roy Ellison (1929-2019) & Bobbie Jean Sammons-Ellison (1933-2018) of Princeton; his fiancée, Edna Barbour; the mother of his children, Debra Alvis of FL; three daughters & their spouses, Heather Ellison-Olortegui & husband Ed Olortegui, Alicia Ellison-Helphenstine & husband Shawn Helphenstine, and Susan Ellison-D-Amato & husband Mark D'Amato; five grandchildren, Andrea, Ryan, Rachael, Gillian & Matthew; one great-grandchild, Sarah; four siblings, James "Jimmy" Ellison & wife Recie Ellison, Larry Wayne Ellison (1955-2019) & wife Pamela Kaye Wall-Ellison, Lynn Ellison-Lowery & husband Bobby Lowery, and Jonathan Ellison & wife Tonya Ellison; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday October 13 2015 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Kyle Neal officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday from noon until the funeral hour at the funeral home. The Ellison family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
