Wife of Donald L. James Born in Hawley, PA Daughter of Charles and Evelyn DeReamer Sister of Norma Rickert and Marjorie Firmstone Mother of Evelyn, Donald and Kimberly Ann Died in Denton, TX. Charlotte Myrtie DeReamer James, 81, passed away July 31, 2010 in Presbyterian Hospital, Plano, with her beloved husband of 60 years, Don, at her bedside.
A memorial mass celebrating Charlotte's life was held, Saturday, August 7th at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Denton TX.
Charlotte was born October 15, 1928 in Honesdale, Pennsylvania to the late Charles and Evelyn DeReamer. She was the "middle sister" of three daughters; sharing strong bonds with her sisters Norma Rickert and Marjorie Firmstone all her life. She graduated from Hawley High School, where she met Donald L. James. They were married September 3, 1949 in Hawley, Pennsylvania. He survives.
Charlotte will be deeply missed and will always be loved and cherished by her husband and three children; Evelyn Nellie (George) Schwenk, Jeffrey Donald (Jamey) James, and Kimberly Ann (Douglas) Phillips; eight grandchildren: Kellee (Schwenk) Skaggs, George C. Schwenk, Jana (James) McKinney, Christopher Phillips, Donald J. James, Kathryn (James) Reeves, Jennifer Phillips, and Samuel Phillips; and eight great-grandchildren: Julian, Gabriella, and Cooper Schwenk; Tyler Sherrill and Richard (Trey) Skaggs; Nicholas Reeves; and Drew and Dylan McKinney.
Charlotte so loved her husband and family. Her greatest joy was any time spent with them, especially Sunday afternoons and dinners when the entire family gathered around. Charlotte loved reading, music, and traveling to visit her sisters, children, and grandchildren.
