Harry Bean, 95, of St. Joseph, MI passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Spectrum Lakeland Health in St. Joseph.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 17, 2019 at Riverview Park Christian Church, 2929 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor David Stout officiating. Inurnment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., Friday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Honor Flight or donor’s choice. Harry was born April 26, 1924 in Sodus, MI to Harry & Pearl (Todd) Bean. He graduated from Lagro High School in Indiana. Harry served his country in the United States Army Air Force from 1942 until 1945 during WWII. On May 19, 1945 he married Wilma Covalt in Wabash, IN. Harry worked for New Products for 27 years and also for St. Joseph Public Schools as a Custodian for 13 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, boating, golfing, bowling, playing cards and traveling with his family.

Harry is survived by his wife Wilma Bean of 74 years; daughter Connie (Terry) Wilder; son Gary (Linda) Bean; four grandchildren Michaelene (Vincent) Hultman, Jamie Pascoe, Michelle (Mitch) Meconi and Stephanie Bean; five great grandchildren Savannah Meconi, Nicholas Meconi, Rachel Hultman, Jessica Hultman, and Daniel Hultman; and many nieces and nephews. Harry was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings Harvey Bean, Louise Bean, Lorin Bean, Paul Bean, Ralph Bean, Ruby Hungerford and Thelma Austin.
