Nicholis Carmine Alfano, 35, of West Keansburg, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. On Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11:02 AM, he was driving his 2006 Jeep Cherokee with a friend James J. Cotugo, 42, of Union Beach, when he lost control by Exit 117 in the Garden State Parkway, subsequently veering off the road, crossed over a grassy median and collided head-on with a 2014 Honda Pilot driving in the northbound lanes, occupied by Stephen Roberson, 59, of Union Beach, and six children from Brooklyn, from ages 7 to 16.
Nick was born in Elizabeth, NJ on Monday, March 26, 1984 to Eva (nee Maruszewski) and Daniel Alfano. Nick was a lifelong resident of Hazlet, NJ. He was a truck driver for DeLisa Trucking in Tinton Falls and a communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in Union Beach.
Beloved son of Daniel and Eva Alfano. Loving fiancé of Tina Persico. Cherished father of Tyler Alfano. Caring stepfather of Chase Persico. Devoted brother of Kimberly, Tracy, Christina and brother Daniel Alfano Jr. Adored uncle of Daniel III, Shawna, Giavanna, Joseph and Matthew.
