Mark David Stout, devoted son, brother, uncle and friend died on Monday, May 13, 2019. He was born in Houston, TX, on November 18, 1954, to Earl Douglas and JoAnne Bowman Stout.

During his young life, he lived in several places throughout Texas. In high school, Mark was a swimmer at Memorial High of Houston and graduated from the American School in London in 1973. He studied psychology at Texas Tech University and ultimately graduated with his master’s degree. He became a licensed professional counselor. Through Mark’s counseling expertise, he was able to help many as an alcohol and drug abuse counselor. He finished his career as a care coordinator with Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Mark was known by all for his great sense of humor and wit. He loved his friends and family with huge-hearted generosity and loyalty. He will be sorely missed and remembered always with great fondness.

Mark is survived by his mother, JoAnne Stout; sister, Kerri Stout Rhodes and husband Ron; nephew, David Rhodes; niece, Kylie Choisnet and husband Douglas; great-nephew, Carter; and his beloved Sandy Ullom, with whom he shared many years of love, laughter and life.

Funeral services in celebration of Mark’s life will be held 1:00pm, Thursday, May 16, 2019, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location. Brief graveside services will follow at 4:30pm in Rose Hill Cemetery, Tyler, TX.
