EVELYN BERRY, 94, of Randolph, died Monday afternoon, May 13, 2019 at her home.
She was born May 27, 1924 in Rutland, VT; the daughter of Victor and Lillian (Minor) Boynton. She attended Pine Street School and Mendon School and graduated from Rutland High School. She was raised in Rutland and had lived in Phoenix, AZ and Lubbock, TX before moving to Randolph. She had worked at F. W. Woolworth and New England Telephone in Rutland, Pates Curio Shop in Winslow, AZ, and National Life in Montpelier. She was married to James Berry in Rutland in 1945 and he predeceased her. She was a member of the Christian Life Center and Generations Church in Lubbock and Grace Christian Church in Williamstown. Evelyn enjoyed being with family, music, embroidery, bible reading and praying.
Survivors include her brothers George Boynton of Sun City, AZ and Ed Boynton of Cabot, AR; sons Michael J. Berry of Barre, Thomas V. Berry of Vine Grove, KY, James L. Berry Jr. of Randolph, Randy G. Berry of Barre, and Matthew J. Berry of Essex Jct, VT; daughters Mary B. Couture of Randolph and Marlene DeForrest of Ekron, KY; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren. She was also predeceased by a sister Marion Johnston.
