Edwin Ray Walker, age 71, of Texarkana, Texas, died Monday, May 13, 2019, in a Little Rock, Arkansas hospital.
Mr. Walker was born February 20, 1948, in Texarkana, Arkansas. He was the owner of E. Walker Construction Company, and a member of the Texarkana Elks Lodge No. 399. Edwin was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Northwood Presbyterian Church.
To his grandchildren, Edwin was “Mr. Perfect”. He loved as hard as he worked, always providing for his family’s needs. Papaw, as they called him was brave, understanding and a great fishing buddy. He will be deeply missed.
Survivors include his wife, Christina Walker of Texarkana; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Charla and David Carter of Maud, Texas, Cory and Brock McBride of Redwater, Texas and Casey Walker of Texarkana; one brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Ann Walker of Texarkana and five grandchildren, Torrey Jones, Blake Carter, Sydney McBride, Brynn McBride and Tye McBride; along with other relatives.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, May 16, 2019, at Chapelwood Funeral Home with Henry Rehkopf officiating. Burial will follow in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
