Bruce was the third born child of Walter and Irene Bappe. He graduated from Ames High School in 1961. He married Nancy Rehder in Calumet, Iowa Nov. 3, 1967. They moved to Colorado 1974. He worked in drywall and construction for 42 years. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hiking, camping and hunting. Family was the most important thing to him.
