Betty Jean Douglas, 73, of Jonesboro passed from this life Monday, May 13, 2019 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born to the late Hulet Bob and Lola Darr Brown on March 30, 1946 in Jonesboro.

Betty was of the Baptist belief and had 26 years of service with Nettleton Public Schools.

In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her brother, Bill Brown; sister, Myrlee Nunn; Brother in law, Bill Nunn; and daughter, Gina Andrews.

Betty is survived by her husband of 52 years, Bob Douglas, of the home; daughter, Shawna (Chris) Nunez; son, Bobby Douglas (Shauna King); sister, Joy Sartin; grandchildren, Valerie Spence, Kenny Andrews, Brittany Douglas, Owley Douglas, Krista Slaughter, and Kailey Jarrett; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews all of Jonesboro.

A visitation will be from 2 – 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Emerson Funeral Home.

A graveside service will follow at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Pine Log Cemetery with Craig Miller officiating.
