Age 56, of Carson City, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019 at his home.
John was born April 12, 1963 in Carson City to the late Donald and Patricia (Skolimoski) Emmons. He graduated from Carson City High School with the class of 1981. ... John was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed deer hunting and fishing, and exploring Michigan’s Upper Peninsula on his snowmobile. He also was a lifelong NASCAR fan, loved classic cars and was proud of his Corvette.
John served as a Corrections Officer, a job which he retired from after 25 years in 2014.

John was preceded in death by his parents and his best buddy, Tommy Edlin.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 12:00pm at Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home in Carson City, with Visitation from 10:00 – 12:00 pm prior to the service. Burial at Crystal Cemetery will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your local animal shelter in honor of John.
