Lucy began her working career working mother’s hours at Traveler’s Insurance in Boston. She worked for several years at Kayem Foods in Chelsea as an inside sales representative until she took an early retirement to care for her husband.
Lucy was active in her local parish, St. Stanislaus Church in Chelsea. She was a tireless volunteer and thoroughly enjoyed being an active member of the Church. In recent years, she supported The Friends of Lynn Beach inspired by the lovely view of Lynn Shore Drive. Lucy was also a summer resident of Parkwood Beach in Wareham where she spent many happy summers with her family and friends. She was a faithful participant of K-Fit Studios and enjoyed the comradery and support of her fitness family. She also enjoyed playing Mahjong weekly with her Lynn Shore Drive friends. Her greatest accomplishment was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She left a wonderful legacy of love.
Lucy is survived by daughters, Tina Philbin and her husband Edward of Loudonville, NY, Catherine Bowden and her husband William of Marblehead her grandchildren , Meredith Rudolph and her husband Drew of Redding, CT, Padriac Philbin of Newton, MA, Brendan and Daniel Philbin of Loudonville, NY, Madeline and Nathaniel Bowden of Marblehead, her brother George Carroccino of Medford. She also leaves several nieces , nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She is the sister of the late Rose Marie “Kitty” Dragone, Frank, Ralph, Joseph, Sonny, Anthony and Domenic Carroccino.
