Over the years, Alice worked for Essex Wire, Michael Industry, Meijers and Burger King and had cleaned offices and homes for various people.
Alice loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. She also enjoyed gardening and canning.
She is survived by three children, Georganna L. Acord (Mike Wolfe) of Frazeysburg, Margaret A. Acord and Charles E. Acord, Jr, both of Fallsburg; four grandchildren, Thomas M. Small, Nikkita A. Miles, Daniel J. Acord and Pete C.R. Walpole; great-grandchildren, Noah S. Ridenbaugh; sisters, Norma Heminger, Delores Dee Rutter and Shirley (Clyde) Yost, all of Newark; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Acord, Sr., whom she married December 10, 1960 and who preceded her in death on April 4, 1999; and by an infant son, Louis R. Acord; a brother, James Wade Meadows; and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Ogilbee.
Private inurnment will take place at a later date at Wilson Cemetery.
