Former Tipton County resident Doris Ann Gish, 79, 5425 Kerns Lane, Indianapolis, died at 1:40 a.m. Sunday, January 1, 2006, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.

She was born January 8, 1926, in Prairie Township of Tipton County to Herbert C. & Neva Pearl (Dawson) Watson. On September 4, 1949, she married Gordon B. Gish and he survives.

Doris Ann worked in the office of Tudor-Yeager in Tipton, was a former art teacher in Speedway Schools, and former secretary to the Assistant Principal at North Central High School. She was a member of the Normanda Christian Church, Delta Zeta Sorority at Indiana University and was a former secretary of the Tipton County Republican Central Committee.

She is survived by her husband Gordon; two sons and one daughter, Kurt Gish, Indianapolis, Debra McKinney, Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Galen Gish, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; one brother, Joe Watson, Tipton; and two grandchildren.

Her funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 4, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Steve Brown presiding. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Normanda Cemetery.
