Rosemary Lynn (Boyd) Sutton, 64, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2019, in her Marion home. A lifelong resident of Marion, she was born on February 5, 1955, to the late John E. and Pauline (Goens) Boyd.
Rosemary graduated from Marion High School and worked at Weaver Popcorn. Because of her love for animals, she then worked at the Marion-Grant County Humane Society, where she was the manager for several years. She finished out her career at Waylon’s and VFW, where she was a bar tender.
She loved camping, hiking, playing softball, and, most of all, visiting and playing with her grandchildren. Her fur babies, Betsy and Peter, were always by her side. Rosemary will be remembered for being full of life and for how much she loved to make others laugh or embarrassed by what flowed out of her mouth.
She is survived by her companion and love of her life, Rocco Hall; children: Rick (Rosalie) Tedder, Jr., Marion; Crystal (Mark) Foreman, Marion; and John (Adrianne) Sutton, Alexandria; grandchildren: Breanna (Brandon) Floyd, Megan (Chance) Meader, Shadelyn (Preston Cox) Davis, Brayden (Lauren) Foreman, Jorden Croucher, Abby Croucher, Ryan (David) Smith, Donna Hiday, Sadie Hiday, Lucy Hiday, Katelyn Tedder, Audrey Tedder, Samuel Tedder, and Blake Butcher; great-grandchildren: Kalix Floyd, Skylix Floyd, Zinix Floyd, and Kingslen Cox; sisters: Susie (Dickie) Correll and Nellie (Paul) Bartrum; sister-in-law, Rachel Hall; many special nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; special friends, Janice Roesly, Heather Mark, and Tim (Nora) Davis; and many other friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Sweatman, and brother, John Boyd.
At Rosemary’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A Celebration of Life service will take place at a later date.
