CHOLERA.
1Y 2M 16D.
Son of George W. & Pearl May (Wells) Gregg.
Burial Sept 21;
death cert signed by father, Geo W Gregg, Urich, MO.
During the Cholera epedemic, a white sheet was hung at door where a person had died; a wagon pulled by a team of horses went around the area and collected bodies. Lore has it that each collection was buried in a mass grave, unless the family handled the burial, sometimes in their yard. There was no undertaker involved for Leslie, his actual burial spot is unknown. Other members of his family are buried at Parker-Gregg cemetery.
Death Certificate gives Page as burial site; no marker has been indexed (at either Page cemetery). The family lived in Creighton/Urich area and would have used this Page Cemetery.
