Angela was born 9/18/1937 to Maria and George Wimbauer in Munich, Germany.
She met the love of her life, Gary K. Rice, in 1961 while Gary was stationed in Germany serving in the U.S. Army. They married and returned to the United States where they created a life together.
Angela is survived by her husband of 56 years Gary K. Rice; daughter Angelika Head; son Brian G. Rice (Leigh);granddaughters Christine Rice Alexakos (Angelo),Virginia Head (Jose); grandsons Evan Rice and Eric Rice; and great grandchildren Suhailey, Kaiden, Alexios, and Anna Sophia. She is also survived by her sisters Helga Felzer, Anna Marie Wimbauer, and many nephews and nieces.
Angela lived for her family and was a devoted wife, mother, Gammie, and Oma. Before coming to America, Angela worked as a dental assistant. Afterwards, she lived her life fully as a housewife. She proudly became an American citizen in 2007. In her later years, she enjoyed gardening, trips to Biloxi and family cruises.
Family would like to thank Emerald Coast Hospice for their exceptional compassion and care during our time of need. The funeral will be held 11:00 am Monday, December 2, 2019 at Emerald Coast Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment will follow the services at Beal Memorial Cemetery.
