Dorothy Belle Garrett, age 74, of Marionville, Missouri, passed away at 2:16 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2019, at her home.
She was born April 28, 1945, in Hollis, North Carolina, the daughter of the late LeRoy Gibson and Laura Mae Brashers formerly of Marionville.
Dorothy was a 1963 graduate of Marionville High School and was an X-ray Technician for Mercy Hospitals in both Springfield and Aurora, Missouri. She was an active gardener, a member of the Missouri Archeological Society, as well as an avid motorcyclist and outdoors-person.
Dorothy is survived by her sister, Jackie Gibson of Neosho, Missouri; two nieces, Cindy Clinkenbeard of Neosho, Missouri and Shawna Heithold of Berryville, Arkansas; one nephew Jason Clinkenbeard of Aurora; three great-nieces; three great-nephews and seven great-great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service under the direction of the Williams Funeral Home in Marionville will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at the Marionville IOOF Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2019, in the funeral home chapel.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Williams Funeral Home, Marionville, MO.
