RICHARD J. MANLEY
AGE 90 YEARS

Richard J. Manley Of Centerville, died May 11, 2019. Richard was a son of the late Martin and Blanche (McMahon) Manley.

His father died when he was a very young child and although he faced adversity during his childhood, Richard grew up to be a dedicated hardworking man. He was raised in Stoneham; a star on the high school hockey team. In 1947, he was the only player selected to the Greater Boston Inter-Scholastic Hockey League and went on to play semi-pro hockey.

He was the Owner of RJ Manley Tree Experts and had a very successful career of 70 years as an Arborist serving clients along the North Shore, Martha’s Vineyard and Cape Cod until his retirement in 2018. The most genuine man one would ever know, Richard was interested in those he met along life’s journey and always found the good in people. He was a true gift of a person and an individual whom one would never forget.

In 2008, Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Angelina Lorraine (Camerlengo) Manley. He was also preceded in death by two siblings, Barbara Trites and Murry Stewart, Jr. and a son, David. Those who are left to cherish his memory are siblings Ruth Stewart Cummin and Martin Manley; sons Dick, Bill, and Scott and his daughter Deborah Merlesena and her husband, John; 4 grandchildren, a niece and 3 nephews.

Graveside Service: Marstons Mills Cemetery.
