Wanda F. Wilson Morris, of Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee passed away May 9, 2019, at her residence.

Wanda was a graduate of Soddy-Daisy High School Class of 1953, where she was captain of the girls’ basketball team and treasurer of the senior class. Wanda worked 16 years for Interstate Life Insurance Company in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she played basketball and softball. She retired from A-1 North American Van Lines.

Wanda was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Gene Morris; father and mother, Houston and Mary Ruth (Skiles) Wilson; and brothers Tom, Ray, Don, and Leslie Wilson. Also, sister-in-law, Shirley Wilson; and brother-in-law Ed Henderson.

She is survived by her loving sister, Marilyn Wilson Henderson; sisters-in-law, Nelda, Freda, and Wanda Wilson; special niece, Heather Henderson (Mike) Crowe; special nephews, Jeffery (Natalie) Wilson, and Mark Henderson; great-nephews, Brandon and Derek Crowe; and a great-niece, Alexandra Wilson; very special cousin Delores McCamish; and former sister-in-law and family friend, Frankie Wilson Pope.

Wanda never met a stranger – friendly, outgoing, and always willing to help. Those who knew her will remember her love of the Crimson Tide, NASCAR (favorite driver, Tony Stewart) and entertainer Eddie Miles.

Anyone who wishes to remember Wanda may donate to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee.

The family wishes to thank Hospice of Chattanooga - especially Kirby, RN and Heather, CNA along with helpful and caring neighbors and friends during Wanda's illness.

The family will receive friends from 2-6 PM on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Legacy Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, May 13, 2019, in Hamilton County Memorial Park with Honorable Clarence Shattuck officiating.

Jeff Wilson, Mark Henderson, Michael Crowe, Brandon Crowe, Derek Crowe, and Bobby. D. Hickman will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Anderson, Gary Miller, Larry Miller, Glen Wilson, and Pete Wilson.
