Carrie P. Austin July 1, 1918- June 9, 2007 Hatchechubbee, AL— Carrie P. Austin, 91, passed away June 9, 2007 at her residence; 88 Austin Rd., Hatchechubbee, AL. Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon EST, Saturday, June 16, 2007 at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Hatchechubbee, AL with Rev. Jessie Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery of Pittsview, AL. Visitation will be held from 1-8:00 pm on Friday, June 15, 2007 with the family hour occuring between 6 and 7pm at Taylor Funeral Home. Mrs. Austin was born July 1, 1918 in Russell County, AL to the late Lizzie Phillips and Elijah Phillips. She was a domestic worker and a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Hatchechubbee, AL. Survivors inlcude two sons, Albert (Dorothy) Austin of Hatchechubbee, AL and Johnnie (Mary Ann) Austin Jr. of Wisconsin; one sister Annie Bell Whittlesey; sixteen grandchildren; thirty nine great grand children; and four great great grandchildren.
