He was born November 20, 1948 in Cabarrus County to the late R.C. Patterson and the late Eary Gray.
Stephen was a 1966 graduate of G W Carver High School. He worked for many years in local restaurants.
Services will be held Wednesday May 15, at Bethpage United Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 PM with funeral services at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at church cemetery.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Margie Wilson.
Those left to cherish fond memories include: two sisters, Katherine Gray of Panama City, Fla. Anita G Rice of Kannapolis, NC; two brothers, Clifford Gray (Fannie) of Kannapolis, Clayton Gray (Felicia) of Kannapolis, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
