Tony Cross, a 2003 graduate of Connally High School and 2007 graduate of The University of Texas at Dallas with a BA in Arts and Technology, tragically passed away on September 10, 2017. He was one of five UTD alumni taken from us that night. He was known for his interests in motion-capture animation, video games, Krav Maga, LARPing, camping and off-roading.
Friends were quoted saying that Cross "was boisterous, vivacious and had a laugh that you knew came from the core of his being, and made you want to laugh that hard with him." "He was himself 100 percent of the time, fun and genuine. The world needed a Tony Cross." "The world is less without him."
Cross was known for his impressive beard, "which was only rivaled by the size of his heart."
Tony's service was held on September 15, 2017 at Care Church in Richardson, Texas.
An additional memorial was held on October 14, 2017 in Marble Falls, TX. The memorial included a Viking funeral pyre to honor Tony and everything he loved.
