Tammy Sturtz-Hill, age 31, a Manitowoc resident, entered into eternal life on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.
Tammy was born on April 13, 1978, in Two Rivers, to Thomas and the late Barbara Sturtz. She attended Manitowoc schools including Lincoln High School. Tammy was employed with Lakeside Foods in Manitowoc. She enjoyed spending her time boating, fishing, the outdoors and being with her family and friends - including her two dogs, Lexi and Gus.
Survivors include: her fiancé, Ryan Hill; her father: Thomas Sturtz; five sisters: Theresa (Stan) Krueger-Junk; Mary (John) Hutterer; Ann Burns and her fiancé, Daniel Copus; Alice (Lee) Blahnik; and Tina Sturtz and her fiancé Benjamin Barber; three brothers: Jim (Sharlane) Burns; Elmer Burns and his fiancée Lorna Schultz; and Tommy (Vicki) Sturtz; one Godson: John Steven Hutterer; also nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and also the extended families that she has given the gift of life through her anatomical donations. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Sturtz; her maternal and paternal grandparents; one niece, and one nephew.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Friday, Jan. 1, 2010, from 4 to 8 p.m. The visitation will continue on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church from 9 a.m. until the beginning of the funeral service at 10 a.m. The Rev. David Rosenow will officiate with burial to follow at Knollwood Memorial Gardens.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Tammy's name.
The family would like to extend their special thanks to St. Vincent's fourth floor ICU clerk, Debbie and the R.N.s, Carol, Tara, Sheila, and Sonja, for the care and compassion they provided to both Tammy and all of her family. Also, a sincere thanks to Dr. Gardon for his care.
