LaVerne M. Grall, age 87, of 960 South Rapids Road, Manitowoc, died Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center.

LaVerne was born on August 12, 1923, in Maple Grove, daughter of the late Theodore and Ella (Collins) Meyer. On November 16, 1946, she married Richard Grall at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Maple Grove. He preceded her in death on May 15, 2001. In 1960, LaVerne and her husband Richard built and co-owned the 141 Speedway in Francis Creek. She enjoyed flower gardening, vegetable gardening and her beloved dogs.

Survivors include two sisters: Catherine Anderson, Manitowoc; Shirley Blahnik, Kellnersville; one brother and three sisters-in-law: Wayne (Diane) Meyer, Whitelaw; Pat Meyer, Grimms; June Meyer, Dixon, IL. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard; three brothers: Robert Meyer, Harold Meyer and Theodore Meyer; two brothers-in-law: Edward Blahnik and Andy Anderson; three nieces: Terri Ellen, Cheryl, and Marsha.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 8, 2011, at the Knollwood Mausoleum Chapel, 1500 Hwy 310, Manitowoc. Deacon Al Boeldt will officiate with burial to follow in Knollwood Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m.

REPORT OF THE COUNTY JUDGE ON PATIENTS COMMITTED TO WISCONSIN GENERAL HOSPITAL FOR TREATMENT TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRMAN AND BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF MANITOWOC COUNTY, WISCONSIN

Gentlemen:

In accordance with the duties which are provided for in the Statutes, I beg leave to submit my report of all proceedings and hearings relative to patients committed to the Wisconsin General Hospital for treatment since the filing of my last report up to and including January 1, 1937.
