Raymond, 80, of Leslie, Michigan, was called home to heaven on May 9, 2019. Ray was born at home on July 23, 1938 to Sabin “Ray” and Myrtle (Dunham) Berry. in Wexford County.

He worked over 40 years as a truck driver and retired in 1999 from Yellow Freight. After retiring, he and his wife Sue traveled in their motorhome – bringing the total states visited to 42 of the 50 states. When he wasn’t traveling, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, and shooting pool. Family was important to Ray. He was always on the go, never met a stranger, and was overly generous.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents; children, Diane Sigers and Wayne Harmon; and siblings: infant sister Edna Berry, James Berry, Robert Berry, and Louise Hall.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Etta “Sue” Berry; children: David Berry, Allen (Letty) Berry, Beverly (Donald) Martin, Gerald “David” (Sun) Harmon, Gail (Margaret) Maynard, Brenda (Tim) Ost, and Tammy Arnold; son-in-law Tom Sigers; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings: Charles “Chuck” (Patricia) Berry and Delbert Berry; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services honoring Ray’s life was held on Wednesday, May 15 at Faith Assembly of God in Leslie, MI. A luncheon will follow the service. Interment was at Roseland Memorial Gardens, Jackson, MI.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to Faith Assembly of God in Leslie.
