Shara Joyce Peery Goode, 73, of Dresden died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson.

Her body is to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Bowlin Funeral Home of Dresden is handling the arrangements.

Goode was born April 4, 1944, to the late Fred and Kathleen Peery.

She was married to the late Crazy Horse Goode.

She is survived by her son, Kyle Goode of Dresden (fiancée, M.J. Wiseman); a step-daughter, Beverly (Tom) Grant, of Nashville; three step-sons: Danny and Tony Goode, both of Tennessee, and Ernest Goode of Virginia; a sister, Karen Jones of Paris;

An uncle, Peter Vaice of Big Bear, Calif.; three nieces: Lesley Jones, Lydia Spirko and Landa Phillips, all of Paris; a nephew: Lester (Lhena) Jones of Lakewood, Wash.; seven great-nieces: Addisyn King, Bryana Spirko, Kennedy and Courtney Binkley, Willow and Piper Phillips, all of Paris, and Lillianna Jones of Lakewood; and three great-nephews: Evan Tomlinson, Lincoln Phillips and Peyton King, all of Paris.

She also was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Lester C. “Buddy” Jones Jr.; and several aunts, uncles and other relatives.
