Elwood-- Spencer Harris passed away Monday, March 11, 2002 in Brigham City.

He was born October 2, 1907 in Uintah, Utah to Daniel Dee Harris and Jennie Caroline Anderson Harris while his father was serving a mission in England.

He graduated from Davis High School and later Utah State University. He served a mission in England.

He married Arlene Patterson on August 16, 1937 in the Salt Lake Temple.

They lived in Fairmont, Layton, Kanesville, Syracuse and Elwood, Utah where he was residing at the time of his passing. He served in many church callings, high priest group leader, stake missionary and teacher. He was an communications technician for the Utah Power and Light Company, where he was working when he retired in 1972.

Spencer and Arlene served a mission togeyther in the Boston, Massachusetts mission. They also served in the Ogden Temple. He was active in the scouting program. he enjoyed and was an expert at gardening. He would share his produce with everyone. Fishing and working on electronic equipment were also his skills.

Spencer is survived by his wife, Arlene of 64 years, and 8 of his 10 children.
