Bonnie Landrum Brown, 86, a long time resident of Frankfort, Indiana, passed away at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon, Indiana, on Saturday, May 4, 2019.

Born at home in Lost Creek, Kentucky on January 23, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Robert Landrum and Mae Fields Landrum.

She received diplomas from Lees College and Berea College, in Kentucky, and a Master's degree in Education from Butler University, in Indiana.

During her teaching career, she taught various subjects including home economics. Her passion was reading and she retired as a reading specialist at Kokomo High School, Kokomo, Indiana.

Bonnie was an accomplished musician and excelled at playing the Hammond organ. She was also an old hand at designing and making beautiful stained-glass art. Bonnie also spent hours cooking in her kitchen and loved to collect and read cookbooks.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Donald L. Brown and two sons and their spouses, Jeff Brown and his wife, Marion Bermondy of Austin, Texas, and Mike Brown and his wife, Jill Frantz Brown of Brownsburg, Indiana.

Bonnie never liked being the center of attention and, per her wishes, there will be no services. Her wish was to spend eternity in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains of eastern Kentucky where she was born. Her ashes will be lovingly scattered at her favorite spot on her property in Breathitt county at a later date.

If you wish to celebrate Bonnie's life, please donate to a local animal shelter in her name.
