, May 2, 2019, Hazel M. Hall, passed away at 1:50 p.m. at Wesleyan Health Care Center in Marion. She would have celebrated her 79th birthday four days later. Hazel was born in Florida on May 6, 1940, to the late Carvey Lee and Mattie (Gore) West.

Hazel worked in the food service industry as a cook throughout her career. She enjoyed working word search puzzles and especially doing things with her grandchildren. If you ever ate at Bob’s Pizza, The Harvest House, Steak ‘n Shake, J&L, or Jackie’s Restaurant, Hazel most likely prepared your food.

She is survived by her children: Anthony (Nan) Wilson, Marion; Wendy Wilson, Westfield; Toby (Tara) Wilson, Marion; Cheryl (Kenny) Hall, Marion; grandchildren, Tiffany (Macy) Burdette, Travis (Tera) Wilson, Tabitha Wilson, Teresa (Pete) Contreras, Stephanie Hall, Tammy Hall, Kenny Hall II, Chasey Hall; Tobias Wilson; great-grandchildren, Gaige Reidy, Gabrielle Reidy, Aaron Grodrian, Bryce Contreras, Dez Contreras, Aadilynn Wilson, Ace Contreras, Daveon Hall, Clara Walker, Dakhota Hall, Grayson Taylor, Finley Taylor, Roscoe Wilson, Mian Burdette; great-great-grandchild to arrive in October of 2019; brothers: Roy (Patty) West, Alex (Betty) West, and Charles (Barbara) West, all from Florida; and sister, Marilyn (Lew) West, Florida.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Curtis, Henry, Carvey Jr., Carlton, Ray, and Alvin, and two sisters, Josephine and Sis.

At Hazel’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
