Ruby Lois was born on October 12, 1940, in Texas City, Texas, to Michael and Evelyn McCool. She is preceded in death by her parents, three children, Barry Silcox, Allen Silcox, and Jerry Hairston, a brother Robert "Butch" McCool, and her husband, Charles Ray Hairston. Ruby has two surviving brothers, Kenneth and Edmond McCool. She was a loving mother to Michael Andrew Silcox and wife Doris, Jon Boyd Silcox, Nora Rae Gina Williams and husband Philip, Matthew Barron Silcox, and Joshua Grant Silcox and wife, Beckie. Ruby loved being a grandmother to Karen, Belinda, Michael, Jon-Alan, and Dannie, as well as great-grandmother to numerous great-grandchildren. Ruby was loved by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She loved her church family at Cook Springs Baptist Church. Rest in peace, Mama and Gramm.
