PAUL EDWIN BALDWIN, 68 years of age of the Little Prater section of Grundy, VA passed away Saturday, Oct 6, 2018 at his home following an extended battle with cancer. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Nancy (Johnson) and J.W.W. (Doc) Baldwin. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of the Little Martha Old Regular Baptist Church of Leemaster, VA. He was a loving husband, father, poppaw, brother, uncle and friend. Paul was a retired surface coal miner of 46 years and always had a lot of concern for Buchanan County.
Paul loved spending time with his grandchildren, riding ATV’s with the Lonesome Pine Trail Riders and enjoyed sitting on the porch with his wife of 47 years Wilma.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Jason Baldwin; 2-Sisters: Mae Maynard, Sue Harding; 2-Brothers: J.D. Baldwin and Donald Baldwin.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wonderful wife of 47 years, Wilma (Clevinger) Baldwin; 1-Son: Steven (Janeen) Baldwin, Thomasville, NC; 1-Daughter: Michelle (Chuck) Shaver, Hope Mills, NC; 4-Loving Grandchildren: Mikayla, Amellia, Evan and Lauryn; 2-Brothers: Harold (Ester) Baldwin, Bent Mt., VA, Mack (Barbara) Baldwin, Grundy, VA; 1-Sister: Virginia Fleming, Sherwood, OH; Daughter-in-Law: Melissa Wilson of Lebanon, VA.
He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a slew of friends.
Funeral Services for PAUL EDWIN BALDWIN will be conducted Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Elders Roger Coleman, Larry Puckett officiating. Burial will follow in the Stiltners Cemetery on Poplar Creek.
Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Monday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.
Active Pallbearers will be Doug Baldwin Jr., Evan Baldwin, Neil Harmon, Travis Buchanan, Josh Rabon, Jim Maynard, Larry Doug Maynard, Scott Maynard and Ralph Rowe Jr.
