Virginia earned her license with the State of Ohio Cosmetology Board as a beautician.
Her survivors include her daughters, Linda Parker and Donna (Steven) Fish; son, Harold (Debbie) Tevis; sister, Marilyn McCoy; brothers, Myron Cordrey, Leroy Cordrey and Delbert Cordrey; eight granddaughters; two grandsons; four great-granddaughters; 13 great-grandsons; two great-great-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond D. Tevis; son, Douglas E. Tevis; identical twin sister, Gloria Fry; sisters, Joy Perrin and Rita Cordrey; and brother, Charlie Cordrey.
