LUFKIN - Services for Thomas David McKee, 85, Lufkin, formerly of Longview, are scheduled for noon Saturday at Oakland Heights Baptist Church with Dr. Bob Roberts and the Revs. Tom Roberson and Roger Fancher officiating.

Burial is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Soper Cemetery, Soper, Okla., under direction of Rader Funeral Home, Longview.

Mr. McKee died June 12, 2007.

He was born April 25, 1922, in Mud Sand, Okla., to the late Andrew Jay McKee and Sarah Beatrice Butler. He graduated from Soper High School and attended Oklahoma Baptist University, Clark College and East Texas Baptist University. He was ordained in 1944 as a Baptist minister and served in Elysian Fields, Spring Hill, Lone Star, Murchison, Sylvania Baptist Church in Tyler and the outreach ministry for Oakland Heights Baptist Church in Longview. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Nell McKee, and sister, Pauline McKee Crouch.

Survivors include daughters, Judy Templeton, Harlingen, Barbara Smotherman, Longview, and Sarah Voss, Lufkin; brother, Stanley B. McKee, Little Cypress; sister, Anita Faye Jay, Little Cypress; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
