Mrs. Sallie Craig Traweek
After an illness of only ten days, Mrs. Sallie Craig Traweek, 54 years old, died yesterday morning at her home, Twenty-first and Elm street.
Funeral services will be conducted from the family residence this afternoon at 4 c'clock by the Rev. James Thomas. Interment will be at Bellwood. Those selected to act as pallbearers are D.W. Richey, H.B. Strange, Fred Fox, A.B. Foster, Edgar Blackwell, W.L. Matthews, James Shaw and Charles Gordon.
The deceased is survived by her husband W.T. Traweek, Jr., one son, W.T. Traweek, III, of Pine Bluff, and two daughters, Miss Arline Traweek and Mrs. C.W. Dixon of Douglas.
She was a devoted member of First Presbyterian Church and was very active in all church matters. She was one of the best known and fairest of all Pine Bluff matrons and was loved by all who knew her."
Sallie Craig Bush was named for her great-grandmother (1772-1807). Her birth was mentioned in the farm journal of her grandfather John Craig Bush: "Sally Craig Bush was born March 29th AD 1860 in Drew Co. Ark. " (Bush Family Papers, 1819-1923, State Historical Society of Missouri, Folder 1, Miscellaneous).
